Mathariel Lynwood, the eladrin warpriest from my current DnD 4e campaign.
Mathariel's family was lost at an early age, leaving only him and his sister to try to survive. They turned to growing religious movement towards Ioun for guidance and protection. Mathariel has since then become a diplomat for his city, trying to rebuild lost political ties with the elven kingdoms.
